Tomato Poha
Ingredients
- 2 cups poha
- 1½ cups chopped tomatoes
- 1 chopped onion
Tempering
- 1–2 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 2 tsp green chilies
- ½ tbsp lentils (chana/urad dal)
Seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Pinch of sugar
- 1 tsp HKC Rasam Masala
Garnish
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
Preparation
Prep Poha
Wash, drain, and rest until soft (not mushy).
Temper
Heat oil.
Tempering Step
Add mustard, cumin \ let splutter.
Sauté
Add curry leaves, green chilies \ cook till soft.
Tomato Base
Add tomatoes, salt, sugar / cook till mushy (add 2–3 tbsp water if needed).
Flavor
Mix in HKC Rasam Masala.
Combine
Add poha, gently mix (sprinkle water if dry) Tempering.
Finish
Garnish with coriander, coconut, lemon juice.
