Preparation

Cook the Base (Flexible Method)

  1. Cook the Base (Flexible Method): Add water, tomatoes, drumstick pieces, tamarind, salt, HKC Rasam Masala, jaggery, and mashed toor dal into a pot or pressure cooker.
    • Pressure Cooker Method: Cook for 1–2 whistles (or until tender).
    • Open Pot Method: Bring to a boil and simmer until soft and flavors combine.
  2. Finish: Add mustard tempering → garnish with coriander leaves → cover and switch off heat.

Serving Note

Serve hot with rice or as a nourishing soup—comforting and complete.
